1:46 Sometimes it'll be a little bit later on. We can't always get to them right at the time, depending on how the topics are going. But again I want to stress that our goal here is to cheat you how to have the healthiest, happiest pet you can, and of course enjoy life with them yourself with a healthy, happy body. It's all possible. It's all within our realm. It's always in our control. It's not in control of people wearing you know, scrubs and white jackets and that sort of thing. There's a place for them in emergency medicine, but for everyday health, everyday life experiences, you are in charge. Tonight, I want to talk about how transformational the body really is, and how it adapts and how it heals itself, and the processes that go along with this, because it's very, very important that we understand how the body works, the physiology, if you will.

2:58 We hear so much about all these diseases and problems and health challenges are all genetic. The truth of the matter is most of the mart most problems are actually created by ourselves and with the help of modern so called medicine, the processed food industry. Nutritionists that don't really know what nutrition is. It's called food science, and basically it all starts with what we put in our body. Now, a couple of things I wanted to bring up, and this is actually how it started, quite often in the store at my palaeopat and in the consultations that I do online through various platforms on pet nutrition, is that we have to understand really where the problem begins. Quite often I get clients that come in both for themselves and for their animals, that they're on six or eight or ten or twelve different medications, and where do we

4:30 begin. I mean, obviously, the body has been under assault for quite some time. We are taught at certain procedures and medications and protocols are necessary to keep our animals healthy, when in reality that in the wild none of these protocols exist. None of these medications exist in a form that we see in the health industry. We do see them though, in botanicals and biologicals and foods animals eating species specific appropriate diets that really build and allow the animal, our pet and our bodies to rebuild itself. It's a process. It doesn't happen overnight. I get this complaint a lot. I've been doing natural stuff for thirty days. That was one of the comments I got today, and nothing seems to be working well. The truth of the matter is every step that you take, every healthier food that you have, every healthy herb or botanical that you might take, is working. It starts immediately as soon as it starts to break down in a digestive tract, it begins to work.

6:00 However, it's not necessarily working on the parts that we want. The body does what it needs to do to shift and adjust and to heal itself, and it has its own set of priorities. Quite often, things like inflammation. Will take a painkiller to knock down some of the inflammation or an anti inflammatory, and we get a little bit of relief, and then it seems to stop working. We're not working at all. But the truth of the matter is you might have inflammation in many, many other body parts that you don't even know about. I mean, would you actually know if your liver is inflamed. Would you know if your adrenal gland is inflamed? Would you know that your kidney has a small tumor on it? No, we don't know that in a natural state. Yes, there are procedures and equipment that can be used to identifify some of these things, but at the end of the day, in order to heal them, you're going to have to look at the same basic approaches, which is rebuilding the body itself. Now, unfortunately, the medical community doesn't study physiology and any kind of depth.

7:18 So if you don't know how the body works, how can you ever fix it? You know, you're going to be working out of a cookbook that tells you, with this set of symptoms, we are going to do these drugs, these therapies, and that's where the physician or the veterinarian has to go. But that is not necessarily helping the body itself. So I want to start out a little bit with recognizing symptoms and why aren't we taking care of the symptoms when they arise the first time? Why are we waiting till we're odd, six, eight, ten, twelve different medication and trying to solve six problems at one time, which the body basically can't do. It has to take them basically one at a time, and we have to start in the very beginning. Now, I want to throw a disclaimer out there that we have to recognize symptoms. And one of the symptoms that sets of symptoms that we normally are told that basically you have to panic over is diarrhea and vomiting. The truth of the matter is those are not symptoms of being sick. Those are symptoms of being that there's something bad in the body that the body has to get rid of. This is housekeeping housekeeping one on one.

8:37 Now, if those toxins and those pollutants, the bad things that are there remain in the body, can they create problems? Yes, So essentially when we look at diarrhea and vomiting, that's a good thing. Mess the clean up. I know nobody wants to do it, but that is basically the housekeeping aspect of it. And once things come out of the body, they're no longer harmful. It's imperative that we understand that and not the panic on that. However, on the other side of that, when those symptoms do occur, we should be looking at, oh my god, what did I do that I have to possibly change so I do not have this problem in the future. Can it be food related? Can it be chemical?

9:33 Can it be drug induced? Any number of things can set this off. I know when we start out with a brand new path, whether it be a puppy or a kitten. We rush to the animal hospital and between the veterinarian and a support staff, we're being told, we need thisvaccine, we need that vaccine, we need this preventative medication for everything from fleas and ticks and heartworms, and it has to be done right now, and there's urgency because if we don't do it, your animal might get sick and die.

10:18 Well. The truth of the matter is is most of these items are not going to cause that problem, at least not in the short term. Fleas, ticks, parasites, they pick them up. We treat, can treat with natural items, build up the immune system, they go away naturally. Okay. Heartworms, for instance, less than three percent of wild canines ever end up with heartworms. It's a very very low risk problem. And again it's preventable through different herbs, botanicals and a strong immune system. Because the way the life cycle works is you have to be bit by that one mosquito, actually by several mosquitoes of a single species multiple times that are contaminated with the heartworm larva that gets transferred into the bloodstream. It takes six months or more for the larva to migrate up through the bloodstream to the heart, and during that travel, your pet has a very strong immune system. Guess what, there's protective cells that are going to be attacking as larva and killing them off before they ever get a chance of getting near the heart. And that's how the body is designed to work. It's supposed to be facing the challenges

11:52 from the outside world and creating a situation where those parasites cannot thrive, where those vectors cannot take over the body. And it's just a constant battle that the body has to be in to maintain that homeostasis, that healthy condition that we want it to be in. The best place to look, of course, is when we get a new pet is a look at what we are feeding. What would that animal eat in nature? It's a dog or a cat, they're carnivores. Carnivore diets involve specific foods that come from an animal base. They are not plant based. They do not have the digestive enzymes to break down plant based foods. When you look at most kibble, it's mostly carbohydrate plant based, so it's very very difficult to digest. When it's difficult to digest. The body has got to work over time to try to get and extract as many nutrients as it can. Therefore, it is not fighting so called disease pathogens or invaders. Hence we're actually setting the animal up

13:31 for a problem. I see that can people get heartworms? There probably is a few documenty cases, but for the most part, no, Most of us have a strong enough immune system that even if the pathogens got there, they wouldn't be there. But from what I understand, all warm blooded animals can get them. I guess the mosquitoes that carry heartworm just don't like people blood as a meal. They prefer canine and as a lesser degree, the feline blood, because all blood chemistry is a little bit different as far as you know, the nutrients it carries and things like that. I guess heartworms are pretty much a carnivore as well, so they need a carnivore diet, which means it has to come from an animal that's a carnivore. And I know that sounds, you know, kind of simplistic, but in reality, sometimes that's how nature, that's how the body is designed. But like I said, we start out with a species appropriate diet which is going to build an immune system and fight off all these challenges. Now, when it comes to vaccines, we're looking at primarily viruses, things like distemper is basically measles, which very few people die of measles, which means that very few canines

15:03 will die of distemper It will run its course usually at one or two week course of fever and lethargy and maybe you know, not much appetite, and then it goes away. As long as we started with that species of appropriate diet, many of the other vaccines on the market basically don't work. Your animal would have never have contracted those maladies, and especially our hothouse you know, animals living with us environment, they're just not exposed to it. The community that sells these products, the medical community, the drug community, and of course through their surrogates as veterinarians and you know vetec and spokespeople try to make it sound as though all these things are like monsters out there just waiting to grab your pat But they're not different areas. You're going to have different outbreaks. Most of the diseases that we vaccinate for that I've seen in pets over my fifty some years have all been vaccine induced. We actually gave them the disease trying to prevent it, and by the way, in most cases it went away naturally anyway after they did see exposure. So you know,

16:38 when we start to see little problems popping up, we need to start taking action. At that point in time, we need to look at what are we feeding, What chemical toxins have we exposed our animal to, is it cleaning solutions, is it long chemical goals. Unfortunately, things like chemtrails and you know, the government spraying for different pathogens like mosquitoes for Zeka and West Nile and things of this nature. We don't have a lot of control over it. But let's say you do decide that you're going to listen to your healthcare provider, which is basically a medical professional selling medicine. As soon as you have any of these procedures done, one of the most important things you have to do is detoxify. We have to clean out the bad stuff that they put in this body and so the body has a fighting chance to always do it. So the first step is when you have a new puppy, a new kitten, we start them out in the right diet. If we do give them any sort of vaccination process, we need to mitigate that through homeopathy and or through herbals that will cleanse out the toxins, the heavy metals that are involved there. We want to stay away from so called preventative medicines

18:11 because number one, if you read the instructions, if you read the insert if you read just the package, it tells you these are not preventions. This is actually a treatment for things like heartworm and fleas and ticks. So don't be fooled and to think you're preventing something because you're not. You're actually going to use a poison in the body that's actually going to lower that immune response when they are exposed, and you're more likely to have problems down the road. And not just with those parasites, but those chemicals have got to be filtered out through the liver and the kidney and lymphatic system. So now we're going to seed liver damage and kidney damage, lymphatic failures and challenges such as chronic ear infections and paul looking and chewing, anal gland problems and dogs I discharges, rashes on the body, scratching and itching. These are all the body trying to get rid of the poison that your friendly, caring health provider has actually put into their body. Now we talked a little bit about vaccines.

23:51 Vaccines, of course, can create a lot of secondary issues, everything from seizures and that. I've seen animals being administered a you know, rabies vaccines and actually die on the table, you know, within minutes of a vaccine. I've seen vaccine induced problems with the same diseases. We've seen side effects showing up anywhere from a couple of days later to you know, injection site inflammations and infections, to sarcomas, different cancers that are at the injection sites themselves. I know a lot of leading homeopathic and holistic veterinarians and researchers have found that many of these vaccines are the cause of autoimmune problems and various joint issues, skin issues, all are related because of these topsins. Now, another area that we have to look at with symptoms, of course, is when we do spay and neuter. Spay and neuter, according to the Center for Veterinaries Care at the FDA years ago, had a warning that it

25:22 cut the lifespan of pets in half. All that information has disappeared, unfortunately, there's very little true information on that site anymore as far as the health of animals is concerned. So it's not unfortunately our government is not doing a reasonably good job of helping us with our pets. In fact, I've been working for close to fifty years with different programs in schools that basically I believe that pet care should be a part of normal education. Of course, so should you know absolutely everyday life things like our finances and you know, money issues and things of that nature, so that when we graduate from school we at least have a well rounded idea of how we should start carrying out our life. I had to learn it basically through life experiences, and I'm still learning a lot every single day. So, but the whole thing is when you start to see a symptom, let's say it's scratching and itching or Paul licking and chewing. Let's start with that. Let's go backwards. What is causing that? We have to go to cause and effect. Well, if we've got scratching and itching, we can greatly assume one of two things.

26:57 Either that area of the boody which gets nutrition last is not healthy, so it's not replacing bad cells with good cells, or the body has toxins in it that are being pushed out and are actually killing those skin cells and therefore creating that itching situation. So it's a very simple fix if you really think about it. Look back, are you feeding a species of appropriate diet? Is it a meat diet for a carnivorm? Or are we giving him some brown pellets in a bag that have almost no nutritional value at all, that are basically dead food, no living enzymes. And okay, we can justify that sometimes by looking in and okay, I'm giving a multiple vitamin or I'm giving a bunch of supplements. Are those really usable? How do you know where those were made? How do you know that those aren't actually contributing to the problem. You really don't know, because ninety percent of what you are understanding is marketing has nothing to do with what's found in nature. You know, when animals need certain nutrients, they hunt in different areas. Cows will leave different grasses and different plants in the pasture. They won't touch them because they're not beneficial. They seek out what they need in the wild. Carnivores

28:30 do the same thing. They will hunt different areas based on what their nutritional needs are. They will drink out of certain puddles because it contains certain nutrients, certain minerals, different herbs and botanicals that can cleanse those are herbal teas. In many cases, same thing with streams and ponds. They will seek out various forms of animal based products, whether it's looking for fish along the stream or a pond, or or looking for smaller animals in the meadows and along the edges of the crop lands, or in the deep woods where they're going to find bigger animals to get various specific nutrients. But again, it's the whole thing is to start with that basic first symptom. So we've got skin and itch, So we start out. We look at the diet.

29:30 Okay, I've been buying a commercial grade raw diet. Okay, we know that there's things in there that are inappropriate. Maybe you need to upgrade that diet to something that's fresh and local. That would be the idea way to do it complete and balance. There is no such thing. The body will tell you what if you're doing it right or wrong, because they will. They will turn their nose up to certain foods and they will scarf down other foods like a vengeance. We add different herbs and botanicals to do prevention of parasites. We do different herbs and botanicals to detoxify the liver and the kidneys, because we know we're being exposed every single day. So I'm starting out with a single issue, a single symptom or set of symptoms, and I'm working on those now. If I have other problems start to develop. Let's say we missed the first one. We missed the scratching and itching. It wasn't that severe. We didn't think anything out of it. And now we have an animal with you know, glaucoma or some sort of eye issue, or a dental issue, anal gland issues, colitis IBDs. Okay, again, we go back to the basics. We missed the first set. Let's go at the second set, and we're still going to go back to the

31:03 same basic causes. What did we feed, What did we expose them to? Did we give them another set of vaccine? Did we give them a flea product? Because oh my god, heven't forbid. They happened to pick up a couple fleas and I can't have them, so I had to nuke the place. Basically the house and the garage and all the bedding and the animal itself. We had to put a bunch of chemicals into them to kill those fleas instantly, and we just destroyed the gut bacteria and the ability to digest food properly, which means if we're not digesting food properly, we are not getting the nutrition that is necessary for that health. Keep a log of these things. This is a very important thing. You know, mark down, you know, different events that you see when you see it. You know if you did vaccinate Mark Vernan, you know, in a prominent place where you can actually check it. When did we vaccinate, what vaccines did we use? What was a manufacturer? Because every manufacturer can do things differently, so you may not be getting the best that you can do. I can tell you that that schools teach more on veterinary economics and hospital economics than they do on health prevention, nutrition, genetics, and physiology. It's about

32:35 the economics. So if I'm running a practice, I'm not going to buy the most expensive or the cleanest necessarily drug or product that i can get. I'm going to look sometimes at the generics. I'm going to look at the stuff that's on sale. I'm going to look on the specials. I'm not going to buy the best to the best. And you have no way as a pet owner of knowing what your veterinarian has done, or what the ratings are, or even what the ingredients are in many cases, so you know, these are all things that you have to take into consideration. It's so imperative that we take this approach, this hands on proactive approach, so we don't get into these mega veterinary bills where you're running into with it which what you think is an emergency, and you know, in many cases they just you know, put a band aid on it, whether it happens to be a drug type band aid that alleviates pain, stops de vomiting, stops the diarrhea, basically knocks the animal out so that we're not going to see the symptoms and then they just pass you along to the next stage where they're running

And I mean, I'm gonna ask you, how many of you out there have had a whole battery of tests done, spent literally hundreds of thousands of dollars on these tests, blood works and different bloodwork and neur analysis and scans and X rays only to find out that they could find nothing wrong with your animals. And obviously you know that there was a problem, and so that's why we have to look at those first symptoms. We have to go back all the way to that root cause. That's what we're looking at, is that root cause of that issue. And once we have that root cause, then we can start moving forward with a healthier animal.

It's just you know, it's a it's a whole another thing. I do have a question up there. If an animal does have surgery and the vet uses absorbable stitches, does that have does that do anything bad for them?

37:45 Well, surgery isn't good to start with the type of stitches. You know, every time the animal has got to be handled, obviously there's stress involved, there's potential problem with you know, infections or reopening wounds and things of that nature. Of course dissolvable. You know what chemicals did they have to have in to make them that way? So you know, the whole thing is avoid the surgery if you can at any any costs. Now, I spend a little bit of time on skin and itch because that's sometimes one of the first symptoms that people just ignore and when it does happen. There's a couple of things that normally we're not aware of that we probably should look to nature for If you look at livestock, horses and towels and even wolves, big cats, pigs, they clean themselves by rolling in dirt and mud, yes, what we consider dirty. That's how they absorb those excessive chemicals that are coming out to the skin. It's one of those things that is very, very important. They have to get rid of that. Our solution is usually to put some different types of oils like coconut oil or you know,

39:21 skin creams or whatever on the skin to try to relieve the itching that has a medication in it. And instead of taking and getting rid of those toxins, we're actually shutting them, sutting off that flow so it can't come out of the body. We also use shampoos that are harsh and take off the natural oils that are necessary for protection of that skin and coat. So we are sometimes doing what we think is the right thing, but doing it the wrong way. And it's very important that we understand that that was a symptom of there was a problem. There was a chemical or a toxin in the body that we have to get rid of, and we don't want to be adding more. We do not want to block the use toxins from escaping the body. We want them out of the body as quickly as possible so they don't cause other damage. So got a question here. So if you want to take your pet somewhere or drop them off to take them to get a bath, how do you get around required rabies or proof. I just encountered this when watching my friend for for two weeks. It's tough. These are artificial barriers that are put up by the health industry. They sell this on a liability basis that if something happens, they're going to be liable, they're

40:55 going to get sued, and they're going to lose their business. The problem is is most groomers, most vet techs, most people in the animal industry do not again know the physiology. They do not know what would naturally be the issue with the animals. My recommendation for probably the last fifteen years or more is, and I did probably twenty years of work working with groomers in the industry teaching them how to do things better and designing equipment and shampoos, various products, is get somebody come into your home to do it, have them use the products that you have. If it happens to be in a commercial venue, grooming shop, a grooming area of a shop, ask to be present while they're doing the bathing so you know that you're using your products.

42:04 In many cases they don't, and in many cases they're using really harsh detergents so that your animal comes out squeaky clean, decreasing, you know, things like you know, commercial dishwashing liquid which is horrible on their skin. And then you're going through a six eight week period of time where the body has to recover, it has got to heal, and again there's another issue with symptoms. Okay, it's you know, two weeks down the road and the dog is you know, I had them groomed and he's scratching and itching.

42:46 You know, the hair is matting up very very badly because of the conditioners that they put on that actually glued the hair follicles. These are all issues that we have to address in order to keep our animals healthy. And of course, if they require that vaccine or a treatment those chemicals. Let's say you had your dog treated or you can't treat it for fleas at the grooming shop or the veterinary clinic. The chemicals that they put in are now trying to come out of the body. Yeslana, I understand that is an issue with you. It's tough. It's the industry has been taken over by basically the so called medical field. And again they have one cookbook and only one cookbook, and it's not, unfortunately, about the health of your animal.

43:45 It's more about making money, limiting liability, convenience, and it has created basically the same problem that we have in the human industry as well. So again, we want to be able to be proactive on that symptom side. We don't want to be treating four or five six different health challenges at the time. We want to be doing them one at a time when they first arise. If they don't go away right away, okay, we have to look a little deeper. You know, what you thought might have been the best food on the market may not be. If you're looking at the best way of bathing your dog, it may not be. So again, it all starts out with diet, It starts out with not putting toxic chemicals in, and of course a lot of foods are treated with a lot of different chemicals, a lot of different type of problems that we actually create preservatives and food colorings and things of that nature. We just want to do it the best we can, and we are looking at preventing these problems from arising.

45:13 We want to be proactive and if you don't get anything else out of this tonight, in tonight's lesson it start from day one. Log yourself, make sure you're tracking what you're doing. When something like diarrhea or vomiting pop up, ask yourself, what did I do? What did I give them different? Is it necessarily bad? You know, it might have just been at one event that Okay, it was bad, the body got rid of it, nothing more to worry about. We just do not want to create these chronic type of issues that crop up all the time.
