And here's your host, Bill the Pet Health Guru.
42 And welcome to the Pet Health Cafe, the show where your Pet Has a Voice. This is Bill the Pet Health Guru, and we've got another exciting show planned for you tonight. It's going to be a follow up from last weeks with our pet myths, if you will, along with a lot of human myths that go along with that and some very very important information. Again, as always, I want you to go on right now and share this with as many friends as you can. Make sure you hit that like button so we kick up those algorithms. Go ahead and subscribe so you never miss another one. Remember that we're on twenty four to seven on the replays on YouTube and Spotify and a whole mess of other places. And with me tonight is Michelle Rougnov and Health Coach Extraordinary. If you will and you know we're gonna keep continuing through her list from last week. Again.
36 The chat room is open. We want people to go ahead and log in and share your comments, your questions so that we can answer them. How are you doing, Michelle, I can't hear you. I can't hear anything. Not good. Earlier. Okay, I got it now, how about now? Yeah, I picked it up and that was what happened. I'm doing really well. Bill. Thank you again for having me on tonight. It's such a pleasure to be on. I love educating your audience and people everywhere around the world. Hopefully they're listening. Yes, we're going to start out, I guess for just a few a recap of what we did last week, and I'll go through some of the questions just to repeat so in case anyone missed them, if that's.
26 Okay with you, absolutely, And of course, you know, anybody can go back and listen to the archives and you know, catch up if they did miss it last week, because it was a lot of great information there. We ran out of time as always, but go ahead, start with your recap. So I'll just recap we were talking about whether or not it was a myth for dogs to eat raw or cook bones, and of course we established that they were allowed to eat even chicken bones, turkey bones, and that's okay, there's no problem with that. If you wanted to add anything to it, please let me know. Also a lot of people believe that when their dog has the Ron's diarrhea, we should be giving them chicken it, rice pumpkin, and that's an absolute no no. Do you want to elaborate, you want to tell.
14 Them all it's nothing but housekeeping, but both pumpkin and rice are not appropriate diets for them. It would just happen to be something that you know, has come up over the last you know, fifty sixty years, primarily once we started feeding you know, commercial foods, because once we started feeding commercial foods, that's when we started to see many of the gastric problems because you just can't digest that food. And then of course some food manufacturers added in stool hardening agents to it, chemicals basically that you know, are doing exactly what that rice was supposed to do in the first place. So now you've got you know, we had a case just recently where the veterinarian prescribed with a dog that was not prooven like four binders.
02 It's like, you know, let's keep it all, all the bad stuff in the body. So we want to get rid of that bad stuff as quickly as we can and say that way the healing process can stup. One of the things that I did, I meant I wanted to mention last week on the show is that most of these myths that we're dispelling if we use a little bit of common sense, common sense which as we know, is not very common anymore. But you know, when you start reasoning through that way, it all becomes very apparent. Excellent point. I wanted also to point out that many people feel even though they feed a raw or you know, appropriate species appropriate diet, they still feel the need to throw in broccoli or you know, carrots or vegetables, a whole medley of food, and they don't realize that's really not necessary as long as they're doing.
53 You know very well, you know, it's counterproductive because they can't digest it, so it's actually creating kind of a fighter's storm in their poor and in your dog's poor stomach. And you know, if you've ever had a stomach ache, you know your dog doesn't tell you, mommy, I've got a spelly ache until it's bad. Yes. And to piggyback off of that, you know you had spoken about leftovers in one of your podcasts. People throw out, you know, their food on their plate and there's leftover food and then they have seasoning. Even myself, I just think my dog block and asked you, so.
36 Yeah, well, when you stop and think anybody is doing turmeric because of the the compound nature of it, they're adding to their turmeric mixed blood pepper anyway, So what does it make a difference whether it's with tumor It matter whether it was with turmeric or meat. No, sort of piggybag off of that, we can talk about the salt. Adding salt to your dog food is usually a no no, it's a myth. But then again, as long as it has eighty four to ninety one mineral. Right exactly the seasons of different very sea salts. Never any table salt though, because that's actually bad for us. Right, we too should not have table salt.
18 It is the table salt, my friends, that is causing your high blood pressure and all the let's get into that. The prepackaged foods that we're buying not me, but you that's not me. Let's clarify that that. We're buying me. You know everyone except us, we're not doing that. So, you know, do you want to answer the question? Sure, I can do that. You know, we'll carry We'll try to do as many as we can as we go along. My dog eats raw food, very little kibble, and I can't regulate her bowel movements in a one month like thick mashed potatoes. What can I do? And I tried probiotics and I think it got worse. First, there is no perfect poop. All poop is perfect. It's supposed to be soft, and it's going to be regulated by what the dog ate, different digestion levels, different absorption levels, fighting disease, because you got to remember that that poop is also taking out dead blood cells, cancer cells, you know, scar tissue, all this other stuff. That's not just about regulating it through food. We've been taught that because veterinarians want to control, and pet food companies want to control and give you a specialty diet with a higher price tag.
42 In the wild, they eat what they what they want. Most of the time it looks like diarrhea, but it's really not. Sometimes you'll get a little bit of a lot of mucus because of all the chemicals, long chemicals, household chemicals, all of that. But at the end, sometimes even with a with a normal with a normal stool where it's saw quite often at the very end of it it looks like diary what we could consider diarrhea, which is watery. But basically that's the self cleaning but that the dogs have, that's how they clean it. So hopefully answer to your question, well, she want to. Know if probiotics should be given or she's giving them, And that was my next myth that probiotics should not be given, they.
24 Should be found naturally. That's what we're looking at. I know, just hard to pick up, and that's because, you know, prior to the nineteen seventies eighties, there were no pickup laws because with a natural diet, that poop just breaks down very quickly into the ground. The preservatives that they put into kibble, that poop would sit there for six months or more. And it was actually the dog food companies that proposed the pickup laws so that you would have to feed commercial food and have to pick up just carry around, you know, I mean, my dog poops so little. I can carry around the squirt bottle with me and just squirt it right down into the grass.
12 Or if you live in the woods, you know like I do. But answer her question regarding the probiotics, probiotics are not needed. We don't need to buy supplements to give our pets because they're not productive, they're not. Effected, right, Yeah, it's just because they basically pasteurize all the probiotics, so ninety nine percent of what's in that bottle is dead. Yes, And if you do for probiotics, you can use like the juices from fermented vegetables, but my favorite is raw dairy you know, goat, smelk, cow's mouth, kifers, yogurts, things of that nature. As long as it's all raw and natural, no sugar's added.
54 You can give it to your dog over their food. I give it to my cats over their food. It's really phenomenal. Again, I'm trying to go back over a few questions, so if you had missed our podcast from last week, please tune in because there is a lot of Burtnent information. Thank you for your question, ma'am. All lumps are cancer. Yes, we and and you know, even though they're not diagnosed as such, as soon as you see what happen, you know, treat it like it is because it's an abnormal growth. That's what cancer is, abnormal selves. So let's just take nip it in the butt as soon as you see the first symptom. And no dog should ever have to suffer from it, no person should ever have to suffer from it.
38 Either a wet nose indicates your dog is healthy. Or a drinks very sloppy. So it's a good indicator. It's an indicator, you know, I mean, yes, I mean, you know, sometimes they'll have a you know, they will have nasal discharges, just like we do. You know that analogy was probably more correct fifty years ago when we didn't have a thousand kem trails and all this long stuff and everything else that they're sniffing in and just like you and I, irritates the eyes that goes into the nasal passage. Yes, allergy eyes. So if the dog's nose is warm, just.
20 The body isself the body is actually self regulating. Well, don't worry too much about it. You know, fevers are a healing process, not a sickness problem. Exactly, just the body excreting all the toxics. Yes, exactly. Cutting the quick on a pet's nails will end up we'll have you resulting or going to the emergency room or the vets office. Should we panic bill when we cut the quick? If we can even cut the dog's nails. If you cut into the quick, that's a blood vessel, you will get bleeding. There is no nerve inside that blood vessel though, or associated with it until you get high up into the nail. So you know, if you let the dog's nails get too long and you cut into that quick to keep them short, you know, we panic more than the dog does.
11 Well. Also, all the commercial emphasize, oh my goodness, if you cut the quick, and then that's how they sell you all these different products too. Yes, cut the dog's nails or the cat's nails. So that's where that comes from. We didn't have a chance to speak about a really sad topic last week, but I thought I should bring it up, ethanasia. What's your take, youth in Asia? People say, you know, should do it. Is a miss. It's a horrible process. And the reason what they've done is over the years they've perfected a way of making it look peaceful. But how they do this is by heavily sedating the dog in the first place, because if you just gave them the phoeno barbaratol that they normally use, the dog would go into convulsion, throw up, poop all over themselves, pee all over themselves, and actually be in agonizing pain. So if I give you enough drugs to knock you down, it's going to look peaceful. However, it's still a forced death, and the animal can sense that because as soon as you start messing with them on any kind of even sedation or anything of that nature, it's traumatic. The ideal situation is, obviously, when it's their time to pass, they should be at home with their loved ones and you know, go to sleep naturally, and that's the most peaceful way.
40 You know. Sometimes with accidents or rear very serious injuries, we have to do something else. But for the most part, death should be a natural process, not an artificial one. And if I may add to that, I lost my sixteen year old Shitsu a year ago, and he was in pretty bad shape for a few days, and I just kept praying, I kept giving him the energy, I kept putting my hands on him, I kept praying and using my energy and I and I told him, I said, Joey, I'm allowing you to go. I'm allowing you to go. And he held on. But then when I said that, he was able to actually release, and he did. He passed on a Sunday, which was great because I didn't want to take him.
21 I was hesitating, yes and yeah, and that's that's that's a part of it is your energy. I mean, if you will, if you let him know that it's finded. You know, if it's your time, it's fine to go. They will if there it's not their time. And they've been really, really sick. I have seen so many of them just turn right around and picked themselves up because they don't want to leave. And they that's they're determined by their energy. He did that actually the day before he passed. I thought, oh my goodness, he's going to live again, you know, but that's. Usually what they do. So my next question, and I don't know how you feel about it, but kissing your pets on the lips will make you so sick.
04 Oh my god, there's a telamonilla question that you hit me with. First thing, last week with a Slamnilla is not adapts obviously for the you know, for for unless you unless you're dying yourself. I mean it's you know, but are there germs passive back and forth? Absolutely, your dog does licks, but you might want to take that into consideration. But you know, to each their own. So I can still kiss my dogs on the lips. If you want to. Okay, thank you dog. If dog stop. If dogs exercise, like if they have a backyard, do they need to still take a walk?
49 Uh? They do. It's not a bad idea to force some exercise walking in of course, is time with your dog more than anything else. You know, if you just open the door, let them run around in the you know, it's just like kids, they'll get bored. You know, it's not They're not getting any more exercise. Really, for the most part, they do need some that you know, they're a pack animal. They need interaction with each other. And of course, if you only have one or two dogs in the family, you're you're the major portion of the pack. So it's up to you to do that. Yes, I do forty five minutes daily. If you don't see fleas, they don't exist. Exactly. Okay, you're in agreement with that.
29 Yeah, OKAYI big not a quick one. Spaying and neutering prevents cancer. Anytime you remove a body part, it's going to remove the risk of cancer on that body part. And I think I also mentioned that I often suggest to veterinarians that are suggesting that, first of if there's no such thing as extra body parts, it needs all of them in order to maintain that whole endocrine system, because it is a system. But uh as I suggest the veterinarians, if you know I don't, I will never want you to ever get lung cancer. So let's remove your lungs. You know the consequences of that. Parks and shelters and places where we bring our pets, you know when we go on vacation, they're safe places, right.
19 They are very similar to what we call factory farm operations. You know, you're concentrating a lot of animals in a small area. Sanitation is a problem. Parasites can be a problem in order of course, and you know, with especially with dog parks and things like that, everybody wants them to look clean and sterile. So the chemical intervention is extreme on those places, and so you know you need you know, if you do do if you have to feel the need that you have to, like on boarding situations, stuff like that. You know, make sure that you're on a major you know, detox program because are going to need it.
01 Vaccines, cause seizures. Yep, I know you one of one of one of many, and any anything that's toxic. Okay, and just as a lots before the break, I know you're going on toxins. I mentioned it last week. I'm mentioning it again. What you clean your house with, what you wash your clothes with, all of that is toxic to us. It's toxic to our babies who are on the floor, our pets. It's all chemicals and. We need Yeah, it's all. It's all part of that overall thing. You have to look you know, because we're looking at the body being a system, we have to look at cleaning the environment as a system just as well.
41 And as you mentioned, we'll be right back after this quick break. Does your pets suffer from allergies, cancer, digestive issues, or joint and skin problems? 20:53 Healthier and welcome back to the Pet Health Cafe, the show where your Pet's voice. This has build a Pet Health Gurul with my health coach Michelle, and we're going over there's a lot of myths. She I think you pretty much wrapped up what we did last week in a kind of condensed fashion. We're going to go on to a bunch of new stuff again. We want you to share this, like it and subscribe, and of course the chat room is open. Go ahead. We've had some great questions so far, so Michelle take it over.
34 Well, as you said, we spoke about pet myths, but there's also people myths, and I want you to be able to help the population the audience with all of these strange myths. And like our first one, all calories are created equal. And just to say before we talk about that, as a health coach, I don't believe in counting calories. I think you're her yourself. If you're standing or sitting there all day, I got one hundred. I mean, if you're good in math, it's great, but it's detrimental. Ahead, Bill, what would you like to say about all calories are created equal myth or not? Oh? Yes, it's a myth, I mean. And the other thing, you know, obviously because you we don't. While we burn calories, which is a measure of energy, our whole body needs a ton of different energies, different vibrational energies, and every food has its own signature, and it's important that we have that combination because in order to balance a body.
41 You know, if you looked at exercise alone, Okay, if i walk five thousand steps today and seven thousand tomorrow and I'm on a two thousand restricted diet of fifteen hundred calories, I am out of balance. Right. There's no way you can be in balance because your body is going to tell you what you need. And now on top of that, you're adding the stress factor, the number one cause of all disease. So why would we want to add stress an ingredient to disease? Disease? Disease? I mean, does that make any sense? And I agree with you one hundred percent, Michelle, Well, you know.
22 What it is built. It's the government, it's the American Art Association, it's the Diabetes Association. They're all feeding the public and telling them that they need to count calories in order to lose weight. And the reason they do that, it's not because it's serving person, it's serving the industry of you know, food products. So I'll give you an example. Let's say you go to the store and you buy a twelve ounce cana of coca cola. Right, that's about I don't know how many I looked it up. It was one hundred and forty calories, right, one hundred and forty calories. That does not equate to one serving of broccoli, which is about thirty to forty calories. But people don't seem to see that. They think, okay, if I have one hundred and forty calories of soda, then I can skip something else. But it's causing soda. People, please listen up.
15 This is my pet peeve. Soda is causing inflammation. It causes cancer, causes heart disease, it causes all of the things that we just do not need, you know, and diabetes, heart trouble. People are wondering why they're having heart attacks and they're ingesting sugar. Sugar. Sugar. Sugar is a ton of that, and of course that's the whole thing, is when you know, when you look at sugar as a whole, because it's in so many products we don't we can't count at all because even on a package, and we did a whole show on ingredients and mislabeling and stuff like that, sugar has approximately I think twenty or twenty five different names exactly, and some of them sound healthy, you know, they just aren't.
04 And even honey, we can talk forever on this subject because there's so much. Yeah, and I have a lot, so it's all right, But honey, even though it's healthier, honey, what does she say. Yes, ella, sugar? Should I be feeding my dog row? How much she weighs? Yeah? Yeah, I mean the food raw deer. Yeah, the raw meat dying is absolutely the best. How much should you feed? It depends on how active they are. I know, you see charts all over the place, you see recipes all over the place. You know the eighty ten ten and the you know, a fifty pound dog should eat a pound. I know my own dog. You know, one day she'll eat a pound, she's about forty pounds. Next day she'll finish that pound, and we'll get me like, are you going to give me more?
51 Please? And then you know, two days later, I put down the pound and she'll only eat three quarters of it. Because it depends on what they need eat the food thatth presented. That's why we do a rotational diet as well, because every food brings different nutrients to the table, and the nutrients are the most important thing. It's not about calories, as we said before, It's about the nutrients. What does this animal need today? Are they building muscle? Are they building skeleton? Are they building rebuilding a gut? Because of bad you know chemicals. Are we detoxifying? Are we fighting cancer? Diabetes? You know, even dementia. I mean, we we're seeing more and more cases of dementia and dug But you know, but because they're not as verbal as our parents and our grandparents, we don't see that cognizant decline until the dogs starts walking into the walls and the doors and things of that nature. So you know, we want to avoid all that. We want to prevent it as much as we can, and we can do that primarily through nutrition.
58 To piggyback into answer her question, your dog is your best guide. Your dog will tell you if it's hungry or not. At least mine do. I don't know, maybe they all do. You're they're human, I don't know. But to get back to our all calories equal, as we said, even in pet food, they're not, they're just not that. The trick is just to stay away from the trans fats, you know, all the all the. Anything, synthetic anything, ultra process, yes. Ultra process and going into fast food. Listen, we're not perfect. Nobody's perfect. We all go off the vandwagon, we all do things, we all eat things. It just has to be consistency, you know, every day you don't have to eat the same thing. Like you said, with the pets rotational diet, we too need a rotational diet so that our foods are well balanced, so that our nutrients that we receive is well balanced. And to mention with foods, mister Bill here also has the foods at his place which I eat and love. I get the salmon, I get all of that, So you should try that as well.
08 Anything you'd like to add about quality foods, Bill, anything you invention. It's funny you mentioned that because I saw one of my I saw in my archives I was doing some research that we did a whole podcast. I think this is back and my radio days, that the quality is just as important as what selection there is. And to be honest, most people think that beef is beef is beef is beef, and chicken is chicken, and chicken and chicken. No, there are so many grades of it. You have to look at what that animal was consuming while it was growing, what kind of drugs, chemicals and interventions were involved in it.
53 All these take a toll on the quality. So we want to get the most naturally raised meats. Same thing with even plant material. You know, we don't want to do modern day vegetables because the energy isn't there, the nutrients aren't there, and you know, so many of them are raised on fact, you know again factory farms, but the factory is plants instead of livestock, and they're very, very deplete in minerals. And minerals are one of the most important things that we have to look at because we are you know, so many of the diseases are because of mineral imbalances. And if you take a supplement, that doesn't mean you're getting that mineral most cases is in the wrong form. Body can't use it, and actually you throw off all the rest of that balance.
38 Well, our soils are depleted of minerals. So people automatically think, well, I'll take a supplement and that supplement will help increase my mineral absorption, which is not true because the supplements, as you have said it multiple times, the supplements don't go ahead, finish my sentence, got hat. They're not natural, they're synthetic. And the body, the body can only use what it recognizes, and it's designed by divine design to recognize natural stuff. But I suggest the herbs, I suggest herb. Well, there's a natural form. And of course herbs are ancient plants, they've been around. They're usually raised on small regenerative farms, so they're going to have the highest mineral content compared to you know, our commercial vegetables that are given essentially three three minerals nutrients.
34 I love. What I love about the herbs is that I take the herbs and I give them to my pets as well, so we're all on the same regiment. So it's pretty easy. It's a simple thing that I do every day, like routine every day. Healthy foods, you know, pasture raised eggs, grass fed, grass finished beef. But it has to be the beef that we're talking about is not beef that has been and said, we're not even talking about grains. I did some homework and I found out that the beef that they're selling to butcher box and all those places online, they're selling you beef that has been fed barley, molasses, different sugars. So we don't even know unless you know.
19 Things like vegetable oil, corn oil, soybean oil. And then the labeling law was misleading because it was run it was basically lobbied very heavily by the cattlemen and the livestock producers because they need this stuff to fatten their their animals quickly. To make more money. And this is where the whole thing starts. I mean, when we looked at that list, you and I looked at that list and the high fructose corn, syrupt of vegetable oil. Aren't these things that we were trying to eliminate in our diet. And they're feeding it to our livestock. Right, And that is of course we're eating it as well. So I like clean. We have a minute, Yes, so I do. Eating fat makes.
04 You fat depends on the form, you know. And again I can go right back to the beef analogy. When we feed our cattle, our bison, our sheep, nothing but forage, that fat converts into omega threes and nines, which are the healthy you know, amino acids which are going to build our body. When I feed them oats, corn, soybean, any type of grain, that fat becomes omega six, and now we have inflammation going on throughout the whole body. That's why so many people have trouble digesting what I basically consider like supermarket meat, because that's how that is all raised. Then supermarkets want a consistent looking product, a consistent tasting product, because when we get into the wild stuff, which is all the grass finished completely grass finished stuff.
57 It's going to have a stronger taste, and it tastes going to vary depending on the season, the breed of cattle, and what they were eating. And so no two steaks are ever going to belike. Supermarkets don't want pet, you know. So that's that's the problem. We need to focus on just our healthy fats. What's your take, gius seeds, flock seeds. And you know, and most of those again secondary we're going to talk more about that after we come back from this quick break. We all want our pets to be as healthy as possible. My pellio pet is the answer. 35:06 And we're back here in a petthouse cafe to show where your pet has a voice and now your pet parents do too. This has built a pethouse Guru along with house coach Michelle. And again the chat room is open if you got any questions, comments, shares and like and subscribe, so we keep this message going around. And we were mentioning oils and you know you and I have had some recent discussions along with other professionals that seed oils, all seed oils have issues. And you know when you look at what do you how can you make avocado oil. How do you make you know, any of the seed oils, it's you know, a whole chemical process that goes along with it. Even if it's supposedly cold pressed, they still have to do other things to keep it from breaking down and oxidizing. And that's the biggest thing to turn it ramsid. Now when you look at the natural oils, lard, callow, butter, Oh what's involved in that. Let's see butter. You take the cream, you do nothing to it. You put it in a mixing bowl.
23 I think I think somebody tried that. I love it, and you turned it on. The hardest part is you have to watch so you turn it off when when it gets hard. Lard they follow you. Wait, let me explain. You get your mixer. I have a nice, beautiful one of those whatever they call it, mixer, and I put in what was it, the cream, and I mixed it. I was so amazed. It was like a little kid. I was like, oh my god, I have butter and I love it. A inch of salt. Yeah. But it's funny, you know, on the lard and on the tells the same way, you're just taking the animal fat. You're putting it in to a pot, rendering it down, and all three of those types of fats can be left on your countertop indefinitely without preservatives.
18 It's beautiful. You know. I no longer use olive oil or avocado oil or any oil because of the tallow because of the butter, the raw butter, I don't use it. And I'll just tell you, you know, I did my homework as well, and the things I heard about the olive oil. Here we are thinking olive oils or olive oil is so fabulous. You know, by the time it gets into the bottle and onto the truck, and how long it's been in that bottle. We have no idea. And then when we were pouring it on our food, it's been contaminated. It has extra oils in there that we don't even know. It's been mixed with all different oils.
59 Vegetable oil. We spoke about that. Remember, Yeah, times I use for a little and for machines. So I just don't want to put that in my body. Why do I want to put fake oils in my body? I do not. Well. The other thing, just just to let people know that almost all seed oils in order to extract it out of the seed they have to use industrial solvents, which are things like hexxane and you know, different alcohols and that sort of thing. So your chemical even though an avocado can be healthy, by the time you add the chemicals to it, do you think that do you think it's the same thing? You know? And that again a lot of people they don't use as they brought up in the beginning of the show common sense.
43 But if you could take an avocado, smash it in a blunder and mix, I don't know, just mix a little bit of what was it, like lemon juice and you know, make your own, create things by yourself. Don't get intut of bottles or boxes. Were Yeah, at that point you're just using that's not a seed oil though, but that's just using the natural oils that are in the avocado. Like if you why do we my that? My question has always been like I used to sell tons of salmon oil and sardine oil when when we were in the dry food business because we needed a fatty acids. And when we got all the way over on raw it was like I've got salmon, I've got sardines. Why do I have to add oil to what's already in the diet. Yes, I mean that is, you know, in the most natural form exactly.
34 So everything we eat to be in the most natural form. We need to live on the Amish farm and live there and roll right. When I take people as a health coach, I take people food shopping, and it's amazing to me. I always tell we have to. Go around the store, the perimeter of the store because the inside of the. Floor there's no food. In the middle, let's poison, right. But even the produce section we were talking about, we can't even by that. Like we spoke about blueberries. You know, I love blueberries, and you can't buy blueberries because. They're not from our country. They're not in season, so we're not getting the nutrients that we should be getting at that particular moment in time.
21 So it's difficult for the average consumer to go shopping nowadays. And if they listen to us, they're not going to want to go shopping. They're going to be like, I can't buy anything. We're not saying that. Let's make it clear. I'm not saying go shopping and don't buy anything. I'm saying try to buy things that were made in the United states, homegrown in your own state if possible. If not, would you suggest they'd buy frozen if they could, like frozen blueberries if. They But yeah, I mean, you know, and you know, in a time before well at least before you, I mean, I lived through part of it where my parents, you know, we grew a lot of our own foods. In season.
05 We would go to the real farmers' markets where the you know, the actual farmer showed up with his commodity. We'd buy enough for the season and we would spend days and days and days either canning or freezing, and you know that's what we lived on when things were not in season. So you know, you know, commercial can stuff, of course, is highly processed. Again, and so much of that is because the government gets involved in everything, and you know the process, and you're over paying for it because you're paying for the regulation as well. Well. Being that you grew up on a farm bill and had that ability to do all of that, that's a testament to your great health today.
51 You know, it helped, It helped, I'll tell you, and more so, more correctly, yeah, more so than just the nutrient levels stuff like that, But it's a mindset it's a mindset. Well, speaking of mindset, I won't I won't put I won't take on any clients that don't have the mindset that they're ready and that takes a while. That takes a while. So you get time here for probably one more question before this. I mean, I don't know where the hours go and we're done. Oh my goodness, I have so much more. Just to let you know, when you go shopping, please look at labels. Please, I'm begging you.
32 If it has more. This is my myth. People think if it has five ingredients or ten ingredients, it's it's okay, it's not the least ingredients. The better, you know, we want less ingredients. We don't. We don't want to read a label and it says something we've never heard of. We don't. We have to be able to understand what we're putting in our bodies. And if you can't read it, that should tell you. That should be a perfect indicator. If the ingredients on there are paragraph long, please put it back. Well, you. Keep it simple. You don't. We don't need all that stuff in there. We just you know, you know, we don't need artificial colors. We don't need artificial flavors we don't need, you know, and they don't label them as that.
18 Obviously it all label is natural, but they're really. Not is not true. No things like low fat we're fat free, please stay away from those. They're loaded with sugar, sodium, anything that's fat free. They're adding extra ingredients that we don't need. And I know we don't have much time, so I really want to focus on what our friends here should be eating and what they should avoid, and they should avoid at all costs if you want to avoid disease, fried foods, fake processed, ultra processed foods, gluten, and I know you and I disagree a little bit on the oils, but no more, no oils for me. So if you can remember those four four foods, you know, get rid of them. They're not even foods gluten like, tell them about gluten.
10 Gluten is yeah, and the classification just because we're gonna be we're gonna be ending here as soon. But gluten is in is not that group of grains that they label as such. It's very limited. Basically, almost all starches contain gluten because even things like potatoes, yeah, exactly, and that's exactly what it does to your body is six to it.
